As far as I know, the countries that use trade bans and financial sanctions the most are the US and Europe.. As for China, generally the Chinese are not even interested in looking at you if you don't interfere in their internal affairs
Think of Iraq. If you are targeted by a "democratic state" for a resource such as oil, even if you have a bag of "washing powder" at home, it is a "sin".
But for China, there is more fear that a social system that is completely different from the West has been astonishingly successful.
Lithuania has done nothing wrong but support democracy...
@Andrew Does Catalunya's democratic independence movement, suppressed across Europe, meet the definition of democracy?
That's right, the Chinese didn't intervene when there were internal problems in Europe, they could have created more problems in Europe, but they are not hypocritical like the West and use double standards to treat different countries.
Bomb making in the name of democracy, look at Afghanistan, most of the people are starving, but even so, the US and Europe still freeze their assets, isn't China's "economic coercion" too humane by comparison?
If the EU thinks Lithuania is doing the right thing, then they should also allow China to establish military and political ties with Catalunya, because of democracy!
I admit that western democracy is hypocritical, but that doesn't make China right
Except freedom of expressing political, hateful, and racist nonsense, making pornographic stuff, using drugs, and owning guns, I don't think America has more freedom than China. More freedom in cheap education, medicare, personal safety? Even in a lot of petty things, people in the US don't have more freedom. For example, drinking alcohol in streets can lead to criminal charges in the States.
There is no freedom in amerikkaa , it's fake freedom … always saying illegal illegal alien but don't allow world wide abortion and population control.
The reason is that the U.S. and Europe imposed sanctions on Chinese companies and officials for human rights reasons, and China retaliated. Isn't it a "democratic country" that imposed economic coercion?
Even China has no military alliances with any countries, China hasn’t invaded any countries unless defending its own territories. China has helped many developing countries. And at present, China is the second largest or the largest contributors to UN and its associated organizations, and is the main provider of UN peace keeping forces.
Islamic countries’ position towards China and the US depends on multiple factors. The US is certainly hated wherever it has meddled and carried out genocide and wanton destruction to enrich its ruling classes such as Iraq, Syria, Libya, Lebanon, and now Pakistan. China wins by comparison.
